New API Version: v1.2 Stable
Full release of API v1.2 with structured error responses, expanded reservation metadata, and webhook retry mechanism with exponential backoff up to 5 attempts.
International Phone Validation
Phone numbers now require the international prefix (e.g. +34, +44, +1). All requests without a valid international format will return a 400 validation error.
Unified Date Format: ISO 8601
All date fields across the API now use ISO 8601 format exclusively (YYYY-MM-DDTHH:mm:ssZ). Legacy DD/MM/YYYY formats are no longer accepted.
Character Limits on Guest Notes
Guest notes and special requests fields now enforce a maximum of 500 characters. Messages exceeding the limit are truncated with a warning in the response.
Enhanced Webhook Delivery
Webhooks now include HMAC-SHA256 signatures for payload verification, configurable retry policies, and a delivery log accessible via the dashboard.
API v1.1: Extended Reservation Model
Introduced extended reservation fields: dietary preferences, occasion tags, VIP flags, and party-size breakdown (adults/children). Multi-language support for confirmation messages.
Response Time Optimization
Average API response time reduced from 320ms to 85ms through query optimization, Redis caching layer, and connection pooling for Postgres.
Legacy v1.0 Endpoints Deprecated
The /api/v1.0/reserve and /api/v1.0/status endpoints are now deprecated. They will continue to function until June 2026 but return a deprecation header. Migrate to /api/v1.1/ or /api/v1.2/.
Toast Notification Warnings
When calling deprecated endpoints, the LlamaChilly dashboard now displays non-blocking toast warnings with a direct link to the migration guide.
